On the 3th May, the research team of the Sus2Trans project met with Professor Ron Boschma from Utrecht University, at ISCTE in Lisbon. Professor Boschma is a world-renowned expert in evolutionary economic geography, spatial evolution of industries, regional systems of innovation, structure and evolution of networks, agglomeration externalities, and regional growth. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss with the Sus2Trans team the study of sustainable transformative transition strategies and the progress of the research.
Additionally, Professor Boschma delivered an open lecture on "How do regions diversify and make transitions?". The event was organized by the Center of Geographic Studies (Centro de Estudos Geográficos (CEG) ), in the conference that marked its 80th anniversary, in collaboration with the Sus2Trans project.
